PrintMaster Platinum 2011, 2012 , V5 , V6 and V7 uses the file extension PMX. 

If your files are in the PMX format, you can open them inside PrintMaster v8 Platinum.

For PrintMaster 18.1 and earlier versions project files were saved as the extension to signify what project they were.

For example, a banner is .ban and a brochure was .bro 

You cannot open files from PrintMaster 18.1 or any older product which uses these individual file formats.

Additionally, there is no conversion tool available which will convert the file formats.
